FASHION TRENDS: Stylish Shoe Trends For Spring 2016

Spring is in the air, and that means new shoes on the street. There are plenty of hot new styles that no man should miss out on for the warm weather months. Whether you're looking for some impressive footwear with which to fly your fashion flag or you just need a reliable pair of sneakers that can provide you with both style and comfort, this season has you covered. These are some shoes that you absolutely have to have for spring and summer 2016.

All White Sneakers

Just in time for Easter, all-white shoes are all the rage. The trend started picking up steam last year with the tonal, all-white Stan Smiths from Adidas. Those were all the rage for 2015, but the company somehow managed to improve upon its minimalistic perfection by adding some subtle metallic detailing to the tennis classic. White shoes can be tough to keep in pristine condition so definitely invest in some polish if you're going to join the white part. However, it's a fresh look that will keep you looking great all through the summer if you can pull it off.

Statement Prints

This season, you either go minimal with your design or you go all out—there is no in between. Stylish sneakers with eye-catching prints are on trend for 2016 and we're all for it. Whether it's an artistic Andy Warhol print or some loud splashes of colour, the best way to make a fashion statement this season is with your shoes. Make sure you pair them with some downplayed, understated slacks in order pull the look off.

Woven Trainers

Another unique trend in trainers it the woven shoe. Woven leather uppers are both eye-catching and unique and with the durable, responsive soles, this look is as functional as it is fashionable. These work well with nice slacks, a clean pair of jeans, and even go well with shorts, making them the perfect casual shoe for 2016.

High Tops

There's no question about it, hi-tops are definitely high fashion these days and are now the purview of more than just hip-hoppers, basketball players, and sneaker heads. Hot new hi-tops from some of the biggest brands have already hit the streets, like the Nike Huarache and the Reebok Insta Pump Fury. We never expected that we'd be championing Pumps in 2016, but here we are and we've got to admit, they look pretty awesome. A huge variety of big name designers have gotten in on the game with outstanding offerings from the likes of John Varvatos, Rick Owens, Moschino and more.

Low Top Skate Shoes

Just as hi-tops are for more than just basketball, skate shoes are cooler than just being used for kickflips. The Vans Old Skool is back in vogue in a big way as the skate industry stalwart celebrates its 50th anniversary. Other classic brands like Converse (with its Jack Purcell low-tops) and PF Flyer are also cashing in on the trend, proving the style is for more than just skate rats.
